Overview

The University of Alberta is one of the top teaching and research universities in Canada.   The university has gained a global reputation for excellence in humanities,  sciences,  creative arts, business, engineering and health sciences.  With four campuses spread across Edmonton and one in Camrose, the University of Alberta offers over 200 undergraduate programs and attracts over 7000 international students  from 157 countries. 

ADMISSIONS

Admission is based on a students's complete academic history and achievement in three main areas: completion of required subjects, English proficiency and grades. Students must successfully complete five academic subjects based on program and faculty. Early admission will be based on the Class X Board exam results. For normal admission, Class XII Board exam results will be considered.

TUITION FEES

The Tuition fees vary based on the program selected.  Approximate fees for an undergraduate program start at C$ 50,000 per year.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

University of Alberta awards $32 million each year in undergraduate scholarships, awards and financial support to students. These awards are given to scholastic achievers, community leaders and well-rounded students. The scholarships vary from $500 to $5000.

STUDENT HOUSING

The University of Alberta offers a range of housing options on campus.  Students can choose from dormitory or apartment style rooms, furnished or unfurnished.  Amenities can include study halls, cable TV, meal plans, internet access, parking and retail stores.  The rent can range from $2,300 to $7,500.
