The University of British Columbia is a global centre for teaching, learning and research, consistently ranking among the top public universities in the world.  Founded in 1915, the university has embraced innovation and transformed ideas into action.  The location of the university in Vancouver makes it an attractive option for many international students due to its weather and the natural surroundings.  

ADMISSIONS

All prospective students must demonstrate English Language proficiency prior to admission. The University accepts different test results such as IELTS, CAEL, PTE, TOEFL etc.

Admission to the university requires the completion of a senior secondary certificate. The application also has a requirement for a personal profile

TUITION FEES

C$ 53,000 per year

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

All International Students who are accepted for admission to the University are considered for merit-based awards.

  1. International Major Entrance Scholarship: Valued at $10-20,000
  2. Outstanding International Student Award: Valued at $10-25,000
  3. UBC Okanagan International Welcome Award: Valued at $5000. This is only for students enrolled in the Okanagan campus

STUDENT HOUSING

The University provides housing on campus to over 25,000 students in single, shared and family housing units.  Priority is given to first-year students and students must apply for housing by May 1.
