Overview
The University of Calgary achieved the status of an autonomous university in 1966 and has been growing steadily just as the city of Calgary has grown. The university began as a branch of the University of Alberta in 1957 at the current location of the campus with 11 faculties. One of Canada's top research institutions, the University of Calgary attracts international students from 140 countries.
ADMISSIONS
The University of Calgary requires English and 4 approved courses from the XII board examinations. Early admission is based on Grade11 final or Grade 12 interim results combined with predicted XII board results as uploaded by the school. All course requirements must be completed and the average maintained. Official transcripts to be mailed to the university.
TUITION FEES
C$32,000 approximately for one year of tuition fees. An additional C$10,000 for on campus housing and meals.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID
University of Calgary offers C$20 million in scholarships, awards and bursaries each year. These are also available to international students who qualify.
STUDENT HOUSING
On campus housing is available for first-year students. The University offers dorm-style shared rooms for first-year students to apartments for those undertaking master's and doctoral programs or have families. First year students are guaranteed housing. There are six different accommodation. Second-year students stay in two-three bedroom suites or four-bedroom apartments. Undergraduate students also have the option of staying in studio apartments, one-bedroom, two-bedroom or three-bedroom apartments with full kitchen
